ISSUES: active puppy behaviours
This tall, gangley young girl is a sweetheart! She likes to chase toys & will play keep away with them but does not retrieve to hand very well (if at all).
She is very respectful of other dogs but really, really wants to play with dogs who like to wrestle or play keep away with her.
She is somewhat shy when meeting new people, especially in new situations, but warms up pretty quickly if you have good treats to offer. She does solicit attention, not by jumping up on you, but puts her paws up on the counter beside you (we suspect she is a great counter surfer, if given freedom in the kitchen). Because she is rather clumsy at the moment, small children may be at risk of being knocked over.
She is crate trained, loves her food, travels fairly well & is not too bad on leash. More regular walks & training will go a long way. Her recall is not the greatest, especially if there is something more interesting over there...
Samantha's senior owner had brought her home to the farm for company as she puttered around the property. However, the opportunity to move into a seniors living condo came along after having had the puppy for several months already & she was unable to bring the puppy with her to the condo.
