Australian Cattle Dog
DoB: September 20, 2016
ISSUES: Nibbles dangling fingers (typical cattle dog puppy), jumps up a little bit for attention.
Harley is a very sweet, lovable little dog. She is very responsive to attention, her name, toys, treats and she really, really wants to play wrestle with whoever is willing.
She was a little submissive when we first met but it was all new and scary. Typical puppy piddles when someone much bigger than her leans over her to put on a leash. Once in the freedom of our big yard, though, she got over the worry pretty quickly.
She travels well; she likes to play fetch with any toy; she is gentle taking treats (but does like to nibble fingertips as we're walking through the yard); she meets other dogs very nicely - politely to start and then immediately tries to get them to play; she is quiet as we've yet to hear her bark; she knows how to follow the yard mower at a respectful distance; she is an all around happy dog that seems to love everybody.
She has a stumpy tail (looks natural, not docked) which just emphasizes her wiggly butt. Words to describe her are "farmer's helper".
Harley was owner surrendered to the Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic due to allergies. The clinic also acts as the local pound and Harley had reached the limit of the hold period. The clinic, having worked with us in the past, contacted us as she was really young, sweet and had no obvious issues so she deserved to find a new home.
